About IFA

The International Freelancers Association (IFA), as the Voice of the freelancing community, defines and provides the infrastructure for the development of the global freelancer market. Our structure enables all stakeholders, be they freelancers, service providers, end user clients and  agencies to provide services with an ease and clarity that is not available anywhere else.

For the freelancers, we provide access to the Jobs Diamond portal, low cost insurance, low cost financial services, agency and client lists, forums, guidance on tax and methods of trading. Our bulk buying power gives access to accountancy services and advice on how to maximise your wealth.

For companies, we provide the facility to advertise your jobs, manage freelancer responses, advertise your company, eMarketing, forums, networking, low cost insurances and the opportunity to input to the shaping of the freelancer market.

Since its foundation in 1997, the Trade Association Forum, have championed and promoted the relevance and influence of effective trade associations to Government and industry. More recently they have extended their brief to look wider afield at the contributions to be made by organisations who view their remit as international providers.

For freelancers, IFA is the response. The next challenge is for all stakeholders to realise the benefits of removing traditional conflicts and setting aside self-interest. Eliminate the confusion by increasing levels of communication; support the structure that will generate new and exciting opportunities which can only lead to increased professionalism and profitability for all.

Our membership of the Trade Association Forum encourages all stakeholders to participate in the ongoing development of this major opportunity principally by the sharing of best practice.

Membership of the IFA has the immediate tangible benefits as defined in the membership grade structure below. The complementary intangible benefits simply create a Freelancer Exchange Platform that is truly unparalleled.

  • Freelancer Memberships
  • Corporate Memberships
  • Governing Board Membership
  • Development Council Membership

In common with the European Market, the freelancer market is expanding exponentially with highly trained freelancers becoming increasingly available from within the emerging European members where the removal of trade and visa barriers has eased their access to the marketplace. The same easing of access applies to other providers of freelance services and products. Other countries, including Canada, USA, China and Africa (mostly within the oil and gas and construction industries) are engaged in huge infrastructure and energy generating projects thus creating an extra dimension to consider when assessing demands on the freelancer population. At IFA we actively and openly encourage all freelancers and companies who utilize their services and those companies who provide products and services to become members of IFA. Make sure you benefit from the synergies, opportunities and discounts within the freelance market, have YOUR voice heard, it is vital that your views contribute to the continuing development and expansion of the freelancer market.
